“Inside Outside” pop up exhibition of Gibraltar Cityscapes by Beatrice Garcia

The local artist's work comprises of 15 images "exploring depth and perspective around Gibraltar", which have been inspired by artist Bob Ross 80's TV show.

A statement from Gibraltar Cultural Services said:

GEMA Gallery is to host the latest work from local artist Beatrice Garcia. This is one of a series of small exhibitions in an initiative by Gibraltar Cultural Services on behalf of the Ministry of Culture. The programme aims to provide new opportunities for artists whilst raising their profile and that of the Gallery.

Beatrice’s latest work comprises of 15 images exploring depth and perspective in different cityscapes around Gibraltar, as inspired by a concept seen on Bob Ross’ 80s TV Show. These works form part of her decay series exploring the marriage between old military structures and the more modern structures around Gibraltar. The brevity of the exhibition is an expression of the transitory and fast moving world in which we live.

The exhibition will be open to the public on Thursday 25th April and Friday 26th April 2019.
