Unite the Union say meetings with Government have been "positive"

The Union met with the Chief Minister last week where "constructive" talks were held with regards to the Union's 'Manifesto For Change' document.

The group discussed their 14 point plan document with the Chief Minister regarding precarious employment and said it was a "constructive engagement" with No.6.

This comes at the backdrop of Unite’s campaign against the misuse of Agency and supply workers both in the Public and Private Sector, which culminated on the “March for Change “ Demonstration held on the 16th January.

Additionally, Unite’s aim is to also engage with Government on the recently delivered Training & Apprenticeship Policy, a Policy which is high up in Unite’s Agenda.

Unite looks forward to continuing our planned schedule of meaningful meetings with Government with a view to resolve all outstanding issues.
